Qualified contractors have been shortlisted and invited to bid for construction works on the Immigration Detention Centre Project, marking another step in the procurement process.

According to the Recovery and Development Agency (RDA), the contractors were selected following a prequalification process.

The deadline for submitting bids has been extended from October 5 to October 16, 2026, giving shortlisted contractors additional time to complete and submit their tender packages.

The agency is working in partnership with the Government of the Virgin Islands to support a transparent and competitive procurement process for the project.

Further information will be shared as the project advances.
