As Emancipation Festival celebrations continued, the Lavida Cottoy Festiville came alive with colour, music and national pride on Saturday, August 1, for “Flag Pride (Rep Yo Flag): Soca Invasion.”

The well-attended event saw patrons proudly waving and wearing the flags of their respective countries while enjoying an energetic night of soca entertainment.

Vincentian soca artiste Problem Child and Trinidad and Tobago’s Patrice Roberts were among the night’s major attractions, delivering lively performances that kept the crowd engaged.

The entertainment line-up also featured Grenadian duo Lil Natty and Thunda, Triple Kay International of Dominica, and local acts Xclusive and VIBE.

DJ Dre provided music throughout the event, while HashimTheDream served as host.

The 2026 Emancipation Festival is being held under the theme, “Culture Rising, Hearts Aligned, VI Festival, One of a Kind.”
