The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) is currently being represented at the 40th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP), taking place in Suriname from Monday May 11 to tomorrow May 15, 2026.

According to the police, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jacqueline E. Vanterpool is attending the prestigious regional conference, accompanied by Chief Inspector Smyrna Brewley and Chairman of the Police Welfare Association, Sergeant Sean McCall. This marks the fourth occasion that DCP Vanterpool is participating in the ACCP Conference in her official capacity.

The official opening ceremony was held on Monday 11th May in Paramaribo, Suriname, bringing together Commissioners of Police and senior law enforcement officials from across the Caribbean region, as well as government representatives and heads of security agencies from Suriname.

Held under the theme β€œOrganized Crime: Implications for Regional Development,” the conference features a series of plenary sessions, panel discussions, and strategic meetings.Discussions will also explore the growing role and use of artificial intelligence in modern law enforcement.

According to the RVIPF, the ACCP Conference continues to serve as a vital platform for fostering collaboration among Caribbean law enforcement agencies, strengthening regional partnerships, and advancing collective strategies to effectively respond to emerging security threats impacting the region.
