The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has charged two persons following the seizure of a significant quantity of cocaine, a prohibited firearm, and ammunition during a search operation.
According to police, at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Fat Hogs Bay, East End, Tortola.
During the operation an AR-style rifle and 26 rounds of 5.62 calibre ammunition were discovered. Further searches of the premises led to the discovery of 19 duffle bags containing cocaine, with a combined weight of approximately 547 kilograms with a street value of over 54 million dollars.
Police have stated that, as a result of the discoveries, 34-year-old Miller Se Quonne Moulon and 26-year-old Khalifa Turnbull, who were present at the residence, were arrested and subsequently charged with Possession of a Prohibited Firearm; Unlawful Possession of Explosives; Possession of a Controlled Drug; and Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply.
Both individuals remain in police custody pending their appearance before the Magistrate's Court.
Acting Commissioner of Police Richard Ullger commended the officers involved in the operation and emphasised the significance of the seizure in the Force's ongoing efforts to combat serious and organised crime.
"The recovery of this substantial quantity of suspected cocaine, together with a firearm and ammunition, represents a significant achievement in our efforts to disrupt criminal activity within the Territory. Operations of this nature demonstrate the determination and commitment of our officers to tackling drug trafficking and the illegal possession of firearms."
He added: "We will continue to pursue those involved in these activities and take decisive action to protect our communities. I also encourage members of the public to continue supporting our efforts by sharing information that can assist us in keeping the Virgin Islands safe."
The RVIPF said that it remains committed to conducting proactive operations aimed at disrupting criminal networks, removing illegal firearms and drugs from circulation, and safeguarding communities across the Territory.
Members of the public are encouraged to report information relating to illegal drugs, firearms, or other criminal activities. Information can be provided confidentially to the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9512 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS).
