The Class of 2026 delivered an impressive academic performance, with 248 students successfully meeting graduation requirements across the Territory's public secondary schools.

According to the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, the graduating class achieved a 97 percent graduation rate, with all male students graduating and 95 percent of female students meeting the requirements for completion.

The results also showed strong academic achievement, with 69 percent of graduates earning Honours or High Honours distinctions.

Chief Education Officer Orlandette Crabbe praised the accomplishments of the students, noting that they balanced academic studies, extracurricular activities and personal responsibilities while remaining committed to excellence.

The ministry reported that more than half of the graduating class took advantage of dual-enrolment opportunities, with 134 students earning college credits through the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College while completing their secondary education.

Elmore Stoutt High School produced the Territory's Top 10 graduating students, with Tarina Kenya Kenessa Roberts named Valedictorian and Kaliq Teshawn Jennings earning the title of Salutatorian.

At the primary level, 280 of the Territory's 291 Grade 6 students were promoted to secondary school, while 11 students transitioned through alternative educational pathways designed to meet their individual needs.

Layla Zoe Dulapo Saniana of Ebenezer Thomas Primary School emerged as the Territory's top-performing Grade 6 student, followed by Sofia Kaylee Rampersaud, also of Ebenezer Thomas Primary School.

The ministry said the results reflect the dedication of students, teachers, parents and school communities, and demonstrate the continued strength of the Territory's education system.
