Guyana reaffirmed its dominance of domestic cricket on Sunday, crushing Jamaica by 111 runs in the 2026 Nation Cup T20 final at Greenland on Sunday July 12, to capture another championship and extend its remarkable unbeaten run to four years.

Batting first after Jamaica won the toss, Guyana piled up a commanding 301 for six from its 20 overs, powered by a sensational unbeaten 164 from Keion De Jesus. His explosive 58-ball innings featured 20 fours and 11 sixes.

Avishkar Sewkarran struck 48 from 20 balls, while Julian Bannet blasted 37 from just 13 deliveries.

Jamal Mickle and Dhanpaul Chrisnanand contributed 21 runs each as Guyana maintained a relentless scoring rate throughout the innings.

Jamaica’s run chase suffered an immediate setback, losing Jason Bobb-Semple for a duck in the opening over before slipping to 25 for three.

Wayne Richards led the resistance with an unbeaten 86 from 50 balls, while Ameri Hinds scored 35 from 20 deliveries. However, Jamaica was eventually dismissed for 190 in 18.4 overs.

Jieunick Mingo led Guyana’s bowling effort with three wickets for 16 runs, while Reno Mettleholzer and Julian St Clair collected two wickets each.

The victory continued Guyana’s stranglehold on the competition, with the defending champions producing another dominant performance to preserve a four-year unbeaten record.

Meanwhile, St Vincent and the Grenadines secured third place with a 52-run victory over Dominica.

Kazim Haywood smashed 158 from 64 balls and Austin McDowall hammered 93 from 34 deliveries as St Vincent and the Grenadines posted a massive 321 for three.

Dominica responded with 269 for three from its 20 overs.

Gary Prince struck an unbeaten 152 from 61 balls, while Damron Prince contributed 56, but their efforts were not enough to overhaul the imposing target.
