Inmates at His Majesty's Prison showcased their artistic talents following the completion of a 12-week rehabilitation programme designed to support personal growth and successful reintegration into society.
According to the Government Information Service (GIS), the programme concluded with an art exhibition and merchandise launch at His Majesty's Prison, Balsam Ghut, where participants displayed works reflecting their emotions, experiences, culture and personal journeys.
The initiative was delivered through a partnership between His Majesty's Prison, Creative Waves and Ogier as part of the prison's ongoing rehabilitation efforts.

Minister for Health and Social Development Vincent Wheatley said the programme demonstrated the value of rehabilitation beyond incarceration.
“Rehabilitation is about more than serving a sentence. It is about creating opportunities for personal transformation and equipping individuals with the tools they need to make positive choices when they return to our communities,” Wheatley said.
He added that the artwork produced over the 12-week programme highlighted the creativity and potential that exists within the prison population.
According to GIS, Assistant Superintendent of Prison Mrs Evena Simmons Ogunsakin described the initiative as an important part of the department's broader rehabilitation strategy.
“This is an excellent initiative. It gives inmates an opportunity to express themselves,” she said, adding that the artwork reflected participants' emotions, culture, imagination and experiences while providing a healthy outlet for self-expression.
Mrs Simmons Ogunsakin said the Arts Rehabilitation Programme is one of several initiatives aimed at equipping inmates with practical skills, positive coping mechanisms and opportunities for personal development ahead of their release.
She added that additional educational and skills-based programmes are expected to be introduced through partnerships with community organisations.
According to GIS, the Department of His Majesty's Prison also thanked Creative Waves and Ogier for supporting the initiative, which has provided inmates with an opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence and explore creative talents that may contribute to their future success.
